Game of the year 2009

What do you guys think game of the year 2009 will be? multiplayer left 4 dead 2 in my opinion. overall... my GUESS would be modern warfare 2 not sure though. what do you guys think the game of the year will be? what about multiplayer? stealth action? hand held? ect.

Either it will be for me Halo 3 ODST or MOdern Warfare 2

Halo ODST, but most websites will probably chicken out and use MW2 since it's a multiplat and it will both piss off and satisfy fanboys equally.

I think that Fable 3 can be a big contender for the prize. Not many shooters get the award and therefore i dont think that Halo or MW2 will get a prize as game of the year.

T o be really honest here I don't think Halo ODST will win any GOTY award, it will be an amazing game and I got it on Pre-order and can barely go to sleep at night waiting for it to come out, I just don't think the critics will allow it Game of The Year glory.

Modern Warfare 2 has a 80% chance.
Forza 3 has a 45% chance.
Assassins Creed 2 has a 20% chance.
Un-finished 2 and Un-polished 2 has a 2% chance.

I dont think MW2 will be it.I think ODst has a good chance.IGn said they loved it.

i did not think RE5 was that bad. could have been better but i think it might be able to win CO-OP game of the year.

Well,i was reading the forums at e3 and MANY people were dissapointed on how much MW2 has changed(including me).It pretty much looks the same as MW1.Thats why i think odst should win it.ODST wont be an ordinary shooter like most shooters out there.Its a BIG change on how you play the game.Reach will probally be best game of 2010

I'd have to go with Modern Warfare 2. Then either Assasin's Creed or Uncharted 2 based on the reviews it's getting. I doubt Halo: ODST will win because well, have you seen IGN's recent trailer parody? It's retarted but just goes to show one of the biggest gaming websites won't be voting for that game as GOTY.

All the game reviewers will say MW2. My pick is Uncharted 2.

And since I'm more into L4D then the COD series. My multiplayer choice is L4D2.

Then they will have something to cheer about atleast, since sales on PS3 exclusives is so low....

Modern Warfare 2 is going to be GOTY becuase it's multiplatform and will keep fanboys on both sides from going crazy. PS3 fans will be happy that a none PS3 game didn't get GOTY and so on.

I think there just going to pick the best game... i don't think they care about what fanboys think. they are just going to pick the best game on the market regardless of what system it is on. I could be wrong but we'll see what happens.

I hope it will be forza 3 just so i can rub ps3 fanboys noses in it you know.plus i think i heard someone saying in the ign writin review of forza 3 they said its the best racing game of all time to date.

halo odst wont get it because it was to short and was only an expansion.

uncharted 2 and killzone 2 are contenders though.

It wont be ODST.

It will be Modern Warfare 2.


I loved ODST, but unless MW2 tanks, there will be no competing with it. The game looks amazing.
