Mod Nation Racers is a major flop in Europe

Sad sales numbers. I wonder how it will do in NPD software numbers?

Such a shame, its a great game. Played the beta, demo, and played a little at a friends. But it was either that or Red Dead, so I had to pass.

Major flop. And PS3 fanboys were giving Alan Wake shit for selling 90,000 in two days. Now look at Modnation.

Well this is just Europe. Not US or Japan sales included. So not a flop, just in Europe.

Ouch and that was one of the big E3 games last year for Sony.

I bought it day one and have been less then impressed.

PROS:
-Great customization. The characters, karts, and tracks people have created are awesome. Pretty much anything is possible.
- The tracks in the game are well thought out and a lot of fun to race on.
- Nice looking graphics.

CONS:
- No one is playing online. Sometimes I can't even find 3 people to race with. Where the heck is everyone?
- Tracks take up to 38 seconds to load. Even with a 10 minute initial install loading bars are everywhere.
- You can count on being hit with a barrage of missiles and other power ups at the end of your final lap.
- Career mode gets really, really hard. (see complaint above)

Overall I give it a 3/5. It's decent, but definitely not the Mario Kart killer I was hoping for.

Ouch, I'm indifferent to this game but I kinda pity Sony and United Front Games right now.

Guess we will have to wait. I really hope it does good, I love United Front.
