My mate has the Killzone 3 Beta

My first impressions of Killzone 3 Beta are positive. Famously there was a 1/3 of a second delay on the controls on Killzone 2, although the delay is still present in Killzone 3 it certainly isn't as bad as before which was comparable to walking through soup. Guns are more accurate and deal more damage, the nearest game I can now compare the weapons too is Call of Duty. The Mech Walker is also a hell of laugh too.

ohh, is that why people complained about the controls? Because of the delay.

It doesn't sound too bad but yeah, tbh it may be a bit frustrating..

The delay with the controls on Killzone 2 was a huge problem in my opinion, if an enemy was strafing at a fair distance you would have to predict where they are moving to and shoot ahead of their character model to compensate for that 1/3 of a second delay on the thumbsticks. A few of my friends used to blindly defend the delay with comments like "it's meant to feel heavy" or "if it was responsive it would be too Arcadey" (whatever that means?). Despite my outspokenness regards the controls on Killzone 2 I can honestly say comparing Killzone 3 to the previous installment the delay with the controls is now negligible.

What I find funniest is the same mates who defended Killzone 2 and it's abortion of a control scheme are praising the changes made to Killzone 3 to no end.
