| Review scores shouldnt influence GOTY, it should be chosen by majority by the gaming community. But god knows that aint gonna happen. |

That's the big discussion point of this real topic. There is no true "Game of the Year". It's all subjective to opinion. IGN's game of the year is the opinion of the IGN editors and the same goes for any website. The only real one's that I think matter are the community voted GOTY, however there can still be bias when the community votes. | |

| Game of the year doesn't really matter and is usually pretty biased. I usually end up hoping that a smaller less popular game will win and if it gets one GOTY I'll be happy. If not, I'm still happy since I enjoy the game. | |
