Take a look at that updated screenshot and now tell me that halo reach has better lighting or facial features/animations - you can't. Look at how the lighting shadows off the fbi agents eyebrows and such. This makes halo reach's facial animation look complete shit. Notice the pours on his cheeks, the complex lighting, the hair simulation, the eyes, etc.
See the individual hairs and such of his beard. He looks extremely life like and the expression is amazing!
P.S its not such a good idea to face bungie's efforts who arn't particularly known for their graphics to a developer that wants to convey emotion through the expressions on the characters faces - in heavy rain emotion and the faces are everything.
Anyone who says Halo Reach facial animations are better than the *updated* heavy rain screenshots is talking complete bullshit!
Heavy Rain may have good graphics but will epic fail as a game. The only reason that it has really good graphics is because the gameplay was so easy to develop. Compare Halo Reach and Heavy Rain.
Halo Reach- non-stop action, run and gun, shooting Heavy Rain- lets put my kid to bed, lets have a cry because im a single dad
Obviously the development team got to put all their time in the graphics. Regardless of that, Halo Reach still looks better. Look at the sweat on Carter's face. Sweat is actually a really hard thing to do in games and Halo Reach has nailed that small detail.

The whole point of this thread is to discuss the fact that Halo Reach does what PS3 fantards claim the xbox 360 can't do. They are constantly saying Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 can only be done on PS3. We all knew it was horse shit.
Halo Reach shows the Xbox 360 is just as capable or even more so than the PS3.
It's not about being or not being a "graphics whore". It's about destroying the hopes and dreams of retarded PS3 fanboys who refuse to believe the truth that the PS3 is all hype and nothing more.
when did ps3 fanboys say we couldn't have awesome facial animations and faces, hadn't they seen the first mass effect
Subject: Re: Halo Reach graphics PWN Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain: Face Rendering Mon Jan 04, 2010 10:33 pm
@ TRI-SIX-TEH
Those "Updated" pictures only look AS good as Carter's face in Halo Reach.
BTW, I wasn't silent, I was just at work. You do know what a job is don't you? It's they way adults make money so they can pay their bills. It's the reason that $50 a year is but a drop in a bucket for superior online gaming.
Oh and why are you here? This is a Xbox 360 fan forum. You obviously are not a Xbox 360 fan, so you have no business being here.
Oh and another thing. Heavy Rain is nothing but a long cutscene. There is no AI, no physics, or anything that makes a game a game. It's using every last bit of the PS3's power to run the absolute best rendering the machine is capable of. Halo Reach will run it's amazing graphics while at the same time calculating countless physics rutines and running the best AI available. All while maintaining a fluid frame rate in HD. All that with graphics that don't just match Heavy Rain, but actually look better.
I've seen Heavy Rain in motion. It looks OK. The animation and faces looks like creepy dead eye'd dolls. Have you even seen the Halo Reach trailer in motion. You can see the individual pours in Carter's face just like in Heavy Rain, but on top of that as Carter talks you can see the micro creases on his brow and tiny micro emotive movements. That's coming from a kick ass action game. Heavy Rain could have been prerendered and the "gameplay" would be nearly the same.

That heavy rain trailer was boring. The game is one big cutscene with QTEs. And graphically Alan Wake looks way better. And unlike heavy rain Alan Wake is actually a game.

Oh snap. So true. I really don't understand why PS3 fantards are going crazy about Heavy Rain. It's not a game. Wait, that actually does make sense.
PS3 owners don't play games. Heavy Rain isn't a game. PS3 owners want the non-game Heavy Rain.
No wonder PS3 game sales are so poor. They don't want them. They want movies and movie like interactive media that aren't games.

We, on the other hand, have a AAA exclusive just about every month of the year

Im gonna counter every game u mentioned, its gonna be a long post but who cares.
GT5- Fails as a franchise, Refer to MLD videos. Heavy Rain- Not even a game, refer to previous posts God of War 3- God of War 2 with better graphics MAG- Average Multiplayer, no campaign Resistance 3- Are we putting unconfirmed games into this argument now? Final Fantasy 14- Will come to 360 Final Fantasy VS 13- Don't give a shit, wont do well in NA Infamous 2- Not 2010 Starhawk- Won't be AAA Agent- Not 2010 The Last Guardian- The trailer looked like it was for 6 year old girls Nationmodracers- DUDE, u cant even get the name right, its modnation racers. wont be AAA 3d dot game heroes- wasnt AAA in japan so wont be in NA The Agency- Not 2010 White Knight Chronicles- BORING LA Noire- Take2 said its coming out on 360 as well Killzone 3- Not 2010 Uncharted 3- Not 2010
You really cant put unannounced games in your argument because we are discussing 2010.
Bioware and Ubisoft have never hinted at a PS3 release, a retailer accidentally posted a PS3 version of Mass Effect 2, very different to a dev hinting at it.
EDIT: Also dude you need to structure your paragraphs a lot better or else you are gonna fail in school. Unless you're an adult which means you are a failure

Thats because PS3 fantards have no counterpoints to make. They just regurgitate the same tired list of mediocre games or what they have read in Sony PR statements.

Indigo Prophecy which was quantic dreams last game and a lot like HR was a very fun and involving game. It is one of the couple xbox original games I still play and decided to keep. HR will be a much deeper experience which gets me excited for the game.
As for the original topic U2 imo beats the screens in the rest, but what point is lost is what it all looks like in motion. We haven't seen a lot with reach, but the facial animations are stiff and admittenly a little bit in HR as well. In Uncharted 2 the characters really feel alive with their emotions.
